GRACE VALENTINE

I had such a special opportunity to meet Grace Valentine at a Samford event that she spoke at in the fall of 2024. I read her first book, “Am I Enough?” in 2020 and kept up with her other releases and social media ever since, which led me to redesign her books for one of my Book Cover Design projects. At the event, I introduced myself and showed her that project, to which she said she had been looking for a graphic designer!

Working with Grace involved two projects— a podcast cover and social media graphics, with the main goal for both being clarity. For the podcast cover, I used a provided photograph of Grace and photoshopped the chair pink to show her fun personality. I created a simple yet playful word mark set on a pink gradient circle that layers behind the image to create a sense of depth. The social media graphics promoting her Purpose Retreat had the same goal of clarity, so I used a simple sans-serif type layered behind parts of the subjects to add more visual interest.

I had such a great time working with Grace! She has been a huge inspiration in my life and I couldn't be more thankful for this opportunity!
